| Pick Axe Blonde Ale ** Available in cans ** |
The lightest in our family of ales, a true single malt. Refreshing to taste, gorgeous to look at and a great introduction to the extraordinary world of craft-brewed Michigan beers. This light golden ale comes with a distinctive malt flavor and just a kiss of hops.
| Lift Bridge Brown Ale ** Available in cans ** |
Reportedly the widest and heaviest double-decked lift bridge in the world, the Portage Lake Lift Bridge connects the cities of Houghton and Hancock here in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula. So get a lift from this American Brown Ale; a rich, dark brown color, complex malt flavor with hints of chocolate and caramel and a mild hop finish.
| Red Jacket Amber Ale ** Available in cans ** |
Medium bodied and lightly hopped, this classic Oktoberfest-style ale is brewed in tribute to the Red Jacket Mine of what is now Calumet and to the glory days of the copper industry in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
| 36 Shilling |
A traditional Scottish ale, this darker beer focuses on malt color and flavor with hops being almost imperceptible. This ale, aged with American Red Oak, finishes crisp and a wee bit sweet.
| TUIT IPA |
If you ever get “a round to TUIT” and hops are your thing, this version of an ale standard is for you. Medium in body and malt sweetness, not as hoppy as some of its contemporary brethren, TUIT still packs a generous spicy and citrus hoppiness. Enjoyable glass after glass. No Cascades here.
| ACME Anvil Ale |
Brewed in honor of the legendary Keweenaw winter, ACME Anvil is a strong American Brown Ale. Perfect for a long winter night of cold and snowy sculpture building. Darkest mahogany, full bodied, hoppy and a touch more ABV to keep you warm.
| Kraken Malt Liquor |
Kraken, a gargantuan sea monster from Norwegian mythology, was originally brewed as our theme beer for “Winter Carnival”, (an annual event hosted by one of the local Universities). Kraken has a rich golden color, full malt body, and slight alcohol warmth with just enough hop to balance.
| Mogiana |
Locally roasted coffee is added at the end of the boil in this golden amber ale. A unique approach to using coffee in beer, Mogiana is based on a recipe from Kurt Vonnegut’s grandfather and named after a coffee growing region in Brazil.
| Tip-UP ESB |
In honor of the ice fisherman’s friend, Tip-UP is a classic English bitter. A trio of caramel malts gives this beer a rich amber color and complex maltiness. Floral and citrus hop make for a smooth finish. This beer can be nitrified for a creamy head or carbonated for a more crisp finish.
| Santiago Lager |
Yes it is a Lager. A malty, unfiltered old world Vienna style Lager
| Empress Hefeweizen |
A silky golden beer with ripples of citrus, clove and banana. A classic Hefeweizen served with a slice of lemon. A refreshing warm weather sipper.
| Full Gale Pale Ale |
A light-golden, medium bodied American pale ale with a floral aroma and a crisp, dry hoppiness.
| R.A.M. Stout |
About the closest thing you can get to a meal in a glass. A smooth, rich, dry stout with a roasted barley flavor, hints of chocolate and coffee, and a creamy nitrified head. R.A.M. is an acronym used in the mining camps around Leadville, Colorado to describe the “Raggedy Ass Miners” who lived outside in a local area known as Poverty Flats.
| Coal Porter |
A dark ruby nitrogenated meal. More sweet than roasty with no hop bitterness. Alternates being available with the R.A.M. Stout.
| Widow Maker Black Ale |
Don't let its looks deceive you. Though it may resemble a porter or a stout, this is a light bodied ale with a pleasant hint of molasses. Don't be afraid of the dark.
| Kali Yuga IPA |
A mix of four hop varieties has this Pale Ale on the aggressive side of bitter with sharp pine and grassy notes.
